  1. I was very interested in the work of Janet Cardiff. I think this work is particularly effective because it really draws the listener into the artist's visual world. Though you are in the same place at a different time, the audio gets you to experience the perceptions of the speaker. It takes you on a journey through the speaker's reflections. It makes you stop and notice and makes you slow down and take in the surroundings. Though the piece is audio, the visual element to it is huge.

  2. Janet Cardiff: I thought Janet Cardiff's piece in central park, New York was the most interesting. Her way of capturing her audience through sound and bringing them back to a certain moment was extremely effective. Although I was not one of the participants of this project, I still felt as if the tone of her voice, along with the other sounds were so strong that it enabled me to feel as if I too, was in central park. I plan on finishing this piece and not just basing my opinion off of one fragment.
